Soul Sundays at Madison: Joell Fender

WHEN: 01-01-1970

Join us at Madison for Soul Sundays, where our three course Sunday roast is perfectly accompanied by the sweet sounds of soul.

“Music definitely chose me I’d say, I’m just a vessel of art!” and for Joell Fender a vessel he continues to be.

After graduating from the prestigious Brit School, Joell formed In’Sight, a duo that became known for their intricate harmonies and versatility. Their blended tones led them to open for Boyz II Men, Brandy and Ed Sheeran, as well as go on a promotional tour with Stooshe after being crowned the 2013 MOBO Unsung Award winners.

Losing the fear that came with being told his voice was different, Joell continued to add to and develop his sound; studying and gaining inspiration from the likes of Earth, Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Beyonce and Boyz II Men.

Now with the smooth agility of his falsetto, all the way to the enveloping richness of his baritone, Joell’s distinctive artistry has been enticing the ear of an ever growing worldwide audience. Providing backing vocals for artists such as Kwabs, Years and Years, Disciples and Demi Lovato on legendary platforms Later with Jools Holland, the MTV EMA Awards and Glastonbury to name a few.

The menu includes three courses, including a sharing or individual roast with all the trimmings, and half a bottle of wine per person, for £38. Plus, try our Bloody Mary flight – offering three mini Bloody Mary varieties for £11.50 – the perfect accompaniment to your roast.
